Pressing Instructions
- Temperature: Set your heat press to a temperature range of 275-300°F (135-149°C), depending on your specific press and the type of DTF film used. Start with a lower temperature and adjust as needed.
- Pre-press: Pre-press the shirt or material for 5 seconds to remove any moisture.
- Pressure: Use medium to firm pressure, as specified in some instructions. Adjust pressure according to your individual heat press.
- Time: Press for 15 seconds, as recommended in most cases.
- Cooling: Allow the transfer to cool before peeling off the carrier sheet. Some films may require waiting until completely cooled, while others can be peeled off while still warm.
- Parchment paper or Teflon sheet: Use parchment paper or a Teflon sheet to prevent the transfer from sticking to the heat press.
- Re-pressing: If the image does not come off completely, repress with the image in place, let it cool, and then re-peel the film.
Important Notes:
- Every heat press is different, and temperatures and pressures may not be accurate or consistent. Adjusting for your individual press is necessary.
- Use a heat gun to test the accuracy of your press prior to pressing, as recommended in some instructions.
- DTF transfers require accurate pressure and temperature settings. Inaccurate settings may result in poor transfer quality.
